The 1st of July and you can still see plenty of snow in the Bighorn Mountains ahead of us. The scenery is just beautiful.
We had to go thru the Bighorn National Forest, situated in the Bighorn Mountains, also very beautiful but a good stretch was up and down 5% to 7% grade hills...and going down isn't always fun. It wasn't anywhere near as bad as Colorado, but there were quite a few stretches that allow you to go 55-65 MPH, right before you had to take a hairpin turn that they didn't warn you in enough time was approaching.
Here is a stitch photo of the mountains...very pretty.
And this is the video showing why we are stopped at the side of the road and able to take the stitch photo above.
Waiting for cooling.
More than anything, this video is for Carol and John, who will be coming to Cody after the 4th of July...enjoy your trip!!!!
Coming into Cody.
We are staying about 20 miles to the west of Cody, and about 30 miles east of Yellowstone National Park. Here are a few pictures of the RV Park we are staying at. Actually the scenery is from across the street from the Park, so we are looking out our front door up into the mountains. There are only 8 RV spaces here, sort of close together, and on gravel (which is not my favorite), but the area is beautiful and convenient so I will put up with it for a month. haha Every nite the people who run the place have a fire going...a little cool tonight to sit out...maybe tomorrow.
Really pretty wish Donna and I could have made it. The fire looks great along with the view.
ReplyDeleteWe wish you were here too...it is beautiful, and you would love it!
ReplyDeleteThe last picture doesn't blow up again. :(

The last pick doesn't get big
