On to Utah!

2 Aug 2010--Left Wyoming yesterday, headed to Utah for probably a total of about 6 weeks. We will be spending 3 weeks in the Salt Lake City/Ogden area, at the Hill AFB FamCamp, then we are headed east to Arches and Canyonlands National Park, and back west to Zion and Bryce National Park and into the north rim of the Grand Canyon.

We had to go west through Yellowstone and into Montana for about 10 miles before we headed south into Idaho for several hundred miles. Seeing as we didn't stay there, I'll show you just the one pic of Idaho...which pretty much sums up the whole state that we drove through. More farm land than you can imagine!

Drove a total of 418 miles on the day. Didn't plan on that long a drive, but by the time we had gotten to Utah, Cathy wasn't really tired so we decided to drive all the way to the base. We didn't have reservations until today, so we spent the night in the parking lot of the FamCamp, waiting to check in today. Just seeing the sunset made the drive worth it.
